Great views, and an amazing beach. 45 min. walk, bring water!

Great "must see" spot on the North island of New Zealand. Parking can be challenging. Try to park at the lot closest to the cove - it's still a good 45 minute moderate walk from the lot to the cove.

The walk to the beach is breathtaking! The beach itself is a piece of paradise. Warning: during peak season it's quite crowded and the ocean is turn-blue-in-seconds cold so not friendly for swimming

Really worth to visit this beautiful beach. Come when it is early on a clear sunny day. Park your car at the first car park and take the bus. Bring water, towel and some food. 45 min walk.

The cathedral cove is a NZ- must see! If you don't want to walk (45 min), you can book a boat tour from Whitianga and get to see this place from another perspective.
